I’m in the process of deciding whether to switch over from Filemaker, and my workflow involves a lot of text. Research notes, interview transcripts, article drafts. Filemaker allows me to have a text entry field the size of most of the screen.
I guess what I’m really asking for is better form management options. For example, a two-column form with a narrow column for small fields – note title, subject, name of the person interviewed, that kind of thing – and a wide column for the main text field.
