Deleted records however still says we're above 1200 limit - how do i resolve this?

Hello,
Our records number has exceeded the 1200 limit however we then deleted several hundred records but the records number doesn’t appear to have reduced and the account is still warning we are over the limit.
Can anyone shed more light on this or ideally how to resolve it?
We deleted the records and then emptied the trash but it hasn’t changed.

If you recently deleted the records, it can take a while for the workspace settings page to recognize the new record count. This value is not instantly updated. The record count should be updated by tomorrow. In the meantime, this is a “soft limit.” You should be able continue using the base.
