Generate and upload an Excel spreadsheet in an attachment field

Airtable experts,

My boss is stuck on Excel and refuses to use the daily report I have made in Airtable, so I am currently stuck doing a csv export everyday and then emailing it out manually. Is there any way to create a csv/Excel document and then upload it as an attachment in Airtable so I can automate the email? I read some other posts about doing something similar with pdfs and zapier/integromat but I keep hitting a dead end with spreadsheets.

BTW, I also tried just updating a Google sheet with the data through an automation, then sending an automated email with the link to the Google Sheet attached, but he wants a flipping Excel spreadsheet and nothing else will do.
