We are using AirTable to manage our event spaces. Our ‘master’ table is Events and each event has a start date/time and an end date/time. Some of our events are multi-day events. For this, we created a few extra columns to include ‘day 2 - start date/time’ ‘day2 end date/time’, ‘day 3 start date/time’ and ‘day 3 end date/time’, etc… We have to add these extra columns to our master Events table since with Airtable you seem to have to ‘flatten’ your database in order to really sync anything. It’s kind of a hack, but it works for now.
The time range of our multi-day events can be different for each day. For example Day 1 might be 8am-5pm, Day 2 - 8am-4pm, Day 3 - 8am - 10pm. So I can’t simply use three full calendar days, we need the start/end times as well.
The problem arises when we try to sync this with Google Calendar. Using Zapier, you are only prompted to select a single date range. There doesn’t seem to be any way to select the other date ranges that we’ve setup in our master Events table.
We simply want to ‘mirror’ the calendar that we have created in Airtable and sync with Google Calendar, but can’t seem to figure out how to handle multi-day events with multiple date ranges.
This is a big stumbling block for us. Any help / suggestions / advice would be greatly appreciated.
