Limit Number of Records in a View

I want to limit a view to a set # of records (10, for example), as requested here.

Airtable defines views as:

you can use views to show only specific fields or records, and apply other configurations to manage the information in that view

Exactly: “show only specific fields or records”. This is basic functionality, included in all programming languages, and should be built natively into Airtable (in my humblest of opinions  ) without requiring an automation, or a script, or any “workaround”, as suggested in the link above.

Thanks for your consideration!
