Page Designer alignment of grids from linked tables

I have linked a join table to four other tables. From the join table, in page designer, when I place a grid field on a layout for each of the linked tables, I cannot get them to align correctly. The fields, field types, and length of the fields are identical. The layout choices in Page Designed are identical. But the fields do not line up correctly.

What I am missing?

Here are some screenshots (hopefully they will show, I have not put images in a post before) and any advice would be appreciated:

This is a shot of the issue. The grid columns all have inside borders turned on and with this I would expect those borders would line up perfectly across the columns but they do not:
