Show "N" number of records Records

Hi All!
Does anyone know of a way to only display a certain number of records in a list for Blocks?
I have a table that has several records, but I only want to limit the table to show 5 records (similar to top N, or bottom N) values in a range. I’m interested in this to help keep my table from expanding past it’s visual range, and to drive consistent formatting on page blocks. Does anyone have any ideas or does this feature exist? Thanks!
