Using zapier to update fields with forms. Will duplicate bases be constantly updated?

In an article it describes using zapier and airtable firms to uodate records in a table.

To accomplish this you need to create a duplicate table.

The question is, as the original table grows over time with new records, the duplicate table needs to be updated with that new data or this approach doesn’t work.

Or does this approach work anyway?
