hello, i want to copy my first field to second field using automation as shown in image below. any help please?
my automation’s trigger is “when a record is created”
and action is “Update record”
i want to update my second field with my first field’s value

if i use formula in the second field, then i lose linking functionality. but i’ve found the solution on how to do that, using airtable team’s help.

Hi - Im new to Airtable, so I could be wrong here, but this seems more to do with using a formula in the second field to ‘copy’ the first field rather than an automation
I am basing this on your screenshot which shows the two fields being in the same table.
