Hopefully this is an easy ask, but I just can't figure it out.
I have my interface as public, showing records in a gallery view.
I have automation which emails the user to tell them that their request is live on the dashboard and to provide them a link to it.
If I use "Page Record Url" in the email automation, it does create a link, but only for me, ie only logged in people. The only way I can get a public link to that record, is view the record in the interface, open it up, click the chain link to copy the url and use that. That URL is much longer than the other ones and I have no idea how I can pull in that URL in the email automation to give the customer.
Here are the links, I've modified them for privacy, but its just to give you a flavour of the difference. These links will not work for you.

If I click the chain, it gives me a working public link which looks like this
Any ideas?

Hey! I can help you automate pulling the correct public link for your records. Since 'Page Record URL' only works for logged-in users, you’ll need to dynamically generate the shareable URL instead. A workaround is storing the public link format in a formula field and referencing it in your automation. Let me know if you’d like assistance setting this up

Well, thank you. If you could tell me how to get that unique ID for the links, which is kind of what I asked for in the first post? That would be helpful.

Hello @Phaderon We've built an app just for this, and you can use it to generate links to send in your emails: https://airtable.com/marketplace/blketWdmOlr98JMZl/sidesheet-link-generator
We've also created another app that will generate a script that you can use with Airtable Automations "Run a script" action to generate links to the Sidesheet in your Interface!
And you can try the app before buying it here: https://www.lomlabs.io/airtable/scripts/interface-sidesheet-link-generator

Thanks, its a shame more money has to be spent on something which should be easy. Since I am scoping this out to get for our business (Government), simply throwing on another monthly expense is going to be a hard no, regardless of how small the cost it overall. If you knew how long it takes to get two accounts for Airtable put through the system, you'd weep.
Thank you, but I'm hoping there would be another way.
