Open a Linked Record in Expanded View by Button press
Hey Airtablers,
I want my sales guys to be able to click on a button, and have it perform the following functions:
- Update the 'last contacted' field
- then create a linked record
- then open that record into expanded view <-- This is the step I'm having issues with.
I can't find a script or automation that opens records in expanded view. Right now they have to click the + in the linked record field, then click the + in the drop down menu to create the linked record. It 'works' but there's room for error and I want this to be as simple as possible for them while they're on the phone. This is what that looks like:
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Hmm I don't think that's possible at this time I'm afraid. What if you gave them an Interface to do that instead? I tried creating a Record Review interface and when adding linked records it opens the form immediately

Also, instead of using an automation to update the 'Last updated' field, what if you used a rollup on the 'Date' field inside the 'Conversations' table? By using the formula 'MAX(values)' it'd always output the latest date, does that make sense?
