Hello,

I'm using Airtable Automations and want to create an IF condition based on the Outlook event creator. However, this section is locked, and I see a message saying "No valid nested option."

How can I unlock it?

It sounds like your automation is setup incorrectly. Please share screenshots or a Loom video of how your entire automation is setup, so we can see where the problem is.

Also, I should point out that you can get way more advanced Outlook Calendar integration with Airtable by using Make's Outlook Calendar integrations, alongside Make's Airtable integrations. If you’ve never used Make before, I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread.

Hope this helps! If you’d like to hire the best Airtable consultant to help you with anything Airtable-related, please feel free to contact me through my website: Airtable consultant — ScottWorld

Hello Scott,

Thanks for the reply.

Please have a look at the picture I'm sending it might clarify the issue I'm having.

Thanks for your support,

In order to view sample data in an action step, you need to test the trigger first.

So, be sure to create a new event in Outlook, and then test the trigger.

Then, after you test the trigger, you’ll be able to see sample data to choose from in the action step.

(Note that Airtable will allow you to select the event creator’s name, but in general, Airtable’s Outlook automations only give you a small handful of Outlook fields to choose from. If you need more fields or more advanced calendar control, you would need to use Make's Outlook Calendar integrations.)
