I am very new to AirTable. English is not my native language.
I created an external form with Fillout, which is connected to my AirTable base.
When I use the block ‘multiple choice questions’ in Fillout, I have 2 options I am aware of :
-Connect it to a ‘single-line text’ field
-Connect it to a ‘single-select’ field
The first option works great, however the second one, which is the one I’d like to use to get the advantage of the colors, brings up the following problem :
Whenever somebody fills out the ‘other’ option in the Fillout Form, it creates a new single-select option in my table, which is great, BUT, at the same time, the form is automatically updated and the new option is now available to new users looking at the Form, which in the end can be a problem if people write a lot of nonsense.
On the .png attached, we can see the workflow on the Form and the form automatically updating for new users.
I would like to avoid new fields being created on my form while still getting the ‘other’ options from my users inside AirTable.
If anybody has any idea on how to deal with that, in any way, please feel free to share.
