Hi there

We want to have a fixed list of Customers in a single table. That’s easy.

On other tables (and ideally on bases) we want to have a single (or multiple) select that uses only the names from that master customer table.

I can’t figure out how to do that, and I’ve gone down the rabbit hole with linked lookups, but I don’t think that’s is either.

How can we have a fixed list of vales that are available as a Select in a new field but are sources from another table?

Thanks!

Hi @Jay_Vines,

Welcome to Airtable Community! :grinning_face_with_big_eyes:

This is called a Linked Field, customize your field to be a Linked To Another Record, and link it to the table you want. You then will have the option to chose from this table and both records will be linked.

You cannot do that with another Base.

thanks. ok. i’ll check it a little more

a linked field cannot be the name of a record in a new table?

It is the name of the record in this other table. So whatever info you want to see in this linked field put it in the first field.
