How do I reset the data in a template so the story_id starts from zero?

When I delete all the records in a template that is provided (after I create a base from a template), the story_id for a new record starts after the last known story_id number.

I want to start my new template starting from a record ID of 1 (not 22)

The example in question is for the Agile Template.

Hey there! Would you be able to share a link to the template so I can investigate please?

Here is a link to the template.

I figured out one workaround.

  1. Delete the story_id field/column.
  2. Recreate the story-id field/column with an auto-number type.
  3. Change the formula for the story name field/column to reflect the new column.

But, there must be a better way!

Sadly there’s no better way - This is by design.

Glad you solved it!

OK. Thanks for taking a peek. Have a nice Easter!
