Until the new redesign this week I don't there was any way for ppl to see the column descriptions on shared views. The new UI redesign changes that since the column description icon shows up on the top right of the column.
I think this might be a data sensitivity issue, as some folks (including me) use column descriptions for internal notes that don't apply to shared views
