Hi everyone, 

Can a record be updated by an external user through an interface button ? Or do you have a link to solve this problem in another way (like a form) if it's not possible.

Yes, although the method depends on how your permissions are set up. 

Note that in order to access the interface, the external user still needs an Airtable account and needs to have the interface shared with him. If you have a pro account or higher, you can share access to the interface without access to the base. 

You also have to decide if you are going to pay for the external user. If you pay for the external user, the external user can edit records the same as an internal user. If you do not want to pay for the external user, you can still share the interface for free. However the buttons that update records or run automations will not work. Buttons that open URLs will work, so you can use the method of opening a prefilled form for the external user fills out. Then have an automation that updates the secured value.
