🎬 Airtable EDUser Group Event Recording

Hey everyone! Thanks to all who joined our second EDUser Group meeting! We took a deep dive into project and event management in Airtable, showcasing customization, automation, team notifications, task management, and resource utilization. A big thank you to @gaston  for leading the demo! We’ve provided resources below, so be sure to check them out. Here’s what we covered:

🌟 Project Management Demo

  • Project Structure & Tracking – Covered projects, tasks, subtasks, team members, and resource allocation, including how task status, completion percentages, and project timelines are calculated. [See Recording at 7:56]
  • Team Collaboration & Slack Integration – Showcased notifications, quick communication, and team member availability tracking for better workflow management. [See Recording at 12:43]
  • Base Schema Extension – A built-in Airtable tool for visualizing table relationships, making it easier to track dependencies and field interactions.[See Recording at 14:35]
  • Subscription-Based Notifications – A subscribe/unsubscribe feature allowing team members to receive daily or weekly task summaries via Airtable automations. [See Recording at 18:00]
  • Task Automations & Updates – Explained how automations track overdue, current, and future tasks and how notifications adjust based on user preferences. [See Recording: 25:45]
  • Visualization & Planning – Included Gantt charts, Kanban views, and scheduling tools to track progress, manage dependencies, and adjust timelines. [See Recording: 29:57] 
  • Interfaces for Management – Provided oversight, tracked time off, and facilitated team coordination.[See Recording: 32:03] 

📅 Event Management Demo

  • Comprehensive Event Planning – Manages multiple events and sessions, tracks speakers, attendees, expenses, feedback, and tasks. [See Recording: 37:00] 
  • Event Registration & Feedback – Prefilled, shareable forms streamline sign-ups and feedback collection. [See Recording: 41:00] 
  • Since we ran out of time, this may be a breakout session in March Office Hours or a new session entirely.
