Interface Timeline View can not add records

I have a dashboard using a Timeline view. Add records is enabled. I can click on the plus button to add a record, but the dates are always odd and not reflective of where I am in the timeline. But if I try to do the click and drag to add the record directly in the timeline window it doesn't do anything. is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I'm not sure about the first issue, but I had the same problem with adding a record directly by dragging the mouse through a timeline window. Maybe it's related. I found out, that I had the records groupped by a lookup field (that had the same effect as groupping them by the field the lookup field was referring to), but because lookup fields are not for making inputs and read-only, it wouldn't create a record. So make sure that you have your records groupped by a field that editable directly and it should work fine 🙂
