Hi! I'm not sure which location to post this in but hopefully someone can help out. I have an interface form which will be collecting question answers prior to a client call. During the call we then want to be able to access and comment on each answer individually as we get clarification from the client. We can obviously have a "notes" column but that would be for the whole record, whereas we need a notes section for each answer (so for each column in the table basically, and it would be incredibly clunky if there was one notes column added after each question column). We then want another 1 or 2 interfaces or tables (or whatever) which again pull in question answers plus our clarifying notes to put next to some other info on post-call actions.

I'm new to interfaces for anything other than form creation, so I tried creating one from scratch which had a record selector at the top then all the answers down the left hand side, then I added a "text" element next to each - not realising that you can't edit this text once you're outside of the interface builder. I also tried adding the "record comments" element but obviously this just adds comments to the whole record, not an individual answer.

Is there anything I'm missing? The draft version of this has been created with Google Sheets and should work fine in there, but we'd like to use Airtable if possible.

Thanks!

Hello,

To avoid having a notes field for every question, if you used a prefilled form with a single note field that pulls in all of the questions with a section for answer comments during the call. Then when someone submits the answers via a form, it could update a separate notes field where all the questions, answers, and comments are populated into a single locked note (to keep a source of truth). Then you could write comments about the call as a whole in the interface comment section or a "Post call action" note field. You could set up the interface as a detailed view where every call is a record or whichever view you prefer. Depending on how many questions are in the call this would only add 2-3 note fields, a prefilled form, an automation, and 1 interface page.

If I need to I can make a few screen shots to explain. I hope this helps. If you have any questions please ask.
