I am designing with softr portals for my teachers. They don't access airtable but interact with data through softr.

For assessments I would like then to be able to edit all records more like a spreadsheet way, vseeing 20 records for 20 students for example and being able to grade them all without having to edit record one by one as they could do with an airtable access m is there any way, platform, existing I did this ?

I’m designing teacher portals using Softr, where teachers interact with data through Softr rather than accessing Airtable directly.

For assessments, I’d like teachers to have a spreadsheet-style view, allowing them to see multiple records at once (for example, 20 students' records) and enter grades efficiently across all records without needing to edit each one individually. Essentially, a way to edit data in bulk, similar to what’s possible within Airtable. Does anyone know of a platform or integration that supports this functionality?

Hey @Pascal_Vallet!

What you are describing is usually called inline editing -as you make edits within the same line of your table rather than having to open the detail view for such record.

Unfortunately, that has not been released by Softr yet -However, that is def on their roadmap as shown here! In any case, this would still probably not allow for drag or in bulk copy and paste as you would be able to do on a spreadsheet.

Al alternative approach you could use, is to have an "edit record" button on the line itself, which will open a modal form (kind of pop-up) where you can make changes. But that is still on a single record basis. If you have a "default grade" which most students get, you could use a one click button for those cases.
Not exact same use case, but see this discussion here.

Please let me know if this solves your issue.

Thanks, Mike. I believe Noloco can do this, correct? Any other way? I am not necessarily looking at copying and pasting but more the inline editing as you have mentioned.

Jumping in on the discussion here: Yes, this can currently be done in Noloco. Looking forward to Softr allowing this as well! 🙂
