Organizing records with multiple groups?

I’m attempting to organize a huge number of contacts according to their relationship to our college (Faculty, Staff, Student, etc), and then grouping the contact list by the relationship field. The only problem is that there are contacts who have multiple relationships to the college; a number of people are listed as both faculty and department directors.

When the table is grouped by relationship, it by default delegates any records with multiple group tags into a unique “group” including all those relationship tags. What I’m looking for is to have one group for each relationship tag, with multi-group records appearing in both relevant groups.

I know there must be a way to do this, but I haven’t been able to figure it out. Help!

I am also looking to do this with my data. Is there any way to do this in Airtable? Thank you!
