I have a race that happens once a year. Most information gathered for registration like cell phone, address, email generally does not change frequently. But there are a three categories that define how the racer participated in that years event.
- Vehicle Type (Car, Truck, Motorcycle, UTV, Youth UTV or Youth Motorcycle)
- Class (Class 1, Class 2, Class 3, Class 4 or Class 5)
- Racer Type (Driver of Record, Additional Driver or Co-Driver/Navigator)
For example:
In 2017, Johnny Johnson has raced a Car // Class 1 // Driver of Record.
In 2018, he raced a UTV // Class 4 // Driver of Record.
In 2019, he raced a Motorcycle // Class 5 // Additional Driver.
In 2020, he raced a Car // Class 1 // Additional Driver.
Knowing there is only one Johnny Johnson that exists in the world, what is the best way to track this racer - year to year - so I can see what the three categories he was each year? Another way to ask that is, how do I avoid having 4 entries for Johnny (2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020)?
In an ideal world, I could pull up Johnny Johnson’s record and see those three categories by year.
