Return user information with formula

I’d like to have a formula that generates the user that changed a checkbox. For example, if a piece of equipment is checked out with a checkbox their username and date auto appear in the adjacent columns.
Any thoughts?

Unfortunately not possible. You can only see the changes and user in the revision history of the expanded record.
