I’m just starting to learn how to link different tables and databases.
I have a set of tags (or categories, if you prefer) that I use for different things, across multiple databases and tables.
Is it possible to have it in one single place (=table, database) and synchronize / link it to all the tables I need it (so I don’t have to rebuild it every time)?
More precisely, I would like to synchronize (or use data from) a field, not a table:
I created a table in a database, with two fields: a “Tags” field and a “Categories” field.
With, in multiple select and multiple options, all the categories and tags I use regularly.
And I would like to be able to use these “template” fields (sometimes Tags, sometimes Categories) in the tables I create in other databases, among other custom fields.
And if it is possible, is it a good idea?
