In Excel/GSheets you can automatically adjust the min width of columns by double-clicking the separator. It would be nice to do this in Airtable’s grids as well 😄
Every time I want to do something in Airtable, I always try it and BOOM! It’s right there, exactly what I need because they thought of everything. That’s why the missing autoadjust feature on the columns in Grid view is so egregious… when the entire interface is so perfect and smooth and low friction, this piece stands out like a sore thumb. Loving airtable… but they missed this simple interface improvement.
This is the one reason I can’t get my business partner across the line with Airtable. Such a simple feature. He expects these features as standard and thinks Airtable is just second class because immediately he noticed this wasn’t available.
