When searching for fields via the pop-up widget "Select Fields to Show" (Automation Script - Find Records Grid toggle) and "Find a field" within the Grid View Hidden Fields control, the search required to find the desired field is too specific and the returns aren't broad enough. Airtable users would absolutely benefit from being provided improved "tokenised" field searches, where for example, if I had a field with the following name; "10km Run Handicap (Most Recent)" Upon typing in the field search query "10km recent" then I could expect any field to return that contain the tokens "10km" and "recent". As it stands, users are required to type almost the exact field name to have the desired field returned - which is overly frustrating, considering the way most field names need to be constructed when dealing with hundreds of similar functioning fields, all with similar names, within the table. The user needs the ability to type in a word (token) that the field may contain at the start, and another word(token) that the field may contain in the middle, or the end of the name, and see the fields that they're looking for. Field Search operators would also be massively welcomed, for example I could use the search term "10km OR 5km recent" to return all fields with either "5km" or "10km", and the word recent. Another example could be "NOT 2km recent" where both "5km" and "10km" results containing the word "recent" would return, but nothing with "2km".

Within a Grid View, often as I'm searching through many fields within a table via the "hidden fields" drop-down, I'm needing to reposition those returned fields from the hidden fields menu, typically the fields that I'm toggling the visibility of, I'm usually needing to move the fields to the first position of the table (or perhaps the last). Can we please have a toggle added on each field returned that allows users to quickly reposition their fields (to first or last) whilst the field search is active within the hidden fields - Grid View? And toggling the first/last button won't close/cancel out the hidden fields menu either, allowing for multiple operations to be carried out sequentially. Find field(s), toggle then to first and last, find different fields, toggle them to first and last, rinse repeat without the dialogue closing between each toggle. Screenshot below, hopefully this explains my request;

What is the proposed idea/solution? FieldArray() - A function to use within the Formula Field that allows for the concatenation of all fields values, with each entry separated by a comma. ReplaceLast() - A method that replaces the last matched character in a string, so for example, the last comma can be replaced with a more desirable string. How does is solve the user problems? It's incredible just how overly complex a formula needs to be to cater for what is simply concatenated field values that need to be separated by a comma. Take these fields for example; "Colour A" "Colour B" "Colour C" And the first record has red, green and blue. Using FieldArray(), we could do this within a formula; FieldArray({Colour A},{Colour B},{Colour C}) Which would return: "red, green, blue" Then, for example, we could do this; ReplaceLast( FieldArray({Colour A},{Colour B},{Colour C}), ", ", " and ") The result being; "red, green and blue" Or perhaps; ReplaceLast( FieldArray({Colour A},{Colour B},{Colour C}), ", ", " or ") "red, green or blue" Who is the target audience? Anyone who's tried to concatenate many fields together thinking it would be a two second job, only to find themselves entering some kind of nested formula hell.

What is the proposed idea/solution? In the Record List Interface, the search field has to be manually cleared by deleting the text. Please add functionality to clear the search field so we can clear it with a single click. How does is solve the user problems? Fewer keystrokes and easier searching How was this validated? ... What is the proposed idea/solution? Give Admins/Creators the ability to adjust the Search Index(or provide multiple indices?) for a record so that when you are linking another record to it, you can more easily find the record you are looking for. ... How does is solve the user problems? Currently, it only uses the record’s primary key as the search term, which sometimes leads me to create a "Search Terms" (or Label) field (formula-type) as the record Key, concatenating other fields to enhance search-ability. There has to be a better way that doesn’t force hacky behavior like this. ... How was this validated? ... Who is the target audience? Anyone wanting to streamline record linking ...

The product is called "Survey Redirect" and it is a custom Airtable field that allows users to create surveys and questionnaires within their Airtable bases. The form includes a new field type called "Redirect Field", which can be used to redirect users to different URLs based on their responses to a given question. Here's how it works: Create a new table in your Airtable base for your survey questions. Add a "Redirect Field" to your table, which will be used to redirect users based on their responses. When creating a new question, select the "Redirect Field" type and enter the possible responses along with their corresponding URLs. For example, if the question is "What is your favorite color?", the possible responses could be "Red", "Blue", or "Green", and the corresponding URLs could be "www.example.com/red", "www.example.com/blue", and "www.example.com/green". When someone fills out the survey, they will be redirected to the appropriate URL based on their response. This product idea could be useful for businesses and organizations that want to create customized surveys for their clients or customers, and need a way to redirect users based on their responses. For example, I have a project prospect form that it's only for new company's projects, if the project is alreay on going, I need to redirect the user to another form especific for additives or changes.

What is the proposed idea/solution? When a form is being filled, and a linked value is chosen, I should be able to see other linked values based on that choice. How does is solve the user problems? The primary key of a lot of the linked values are Codes / IDs etc. Once that is chosen, it would be nice to display some related fields to make sure the person is choosing the right values Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxc5j4EQio8

What is the proposed idea/solution? When using the below code within a script, console.log(table.getView("Grid view")) The return object needs to include visible field Names and IDs from the target view. How does is solve the user problems? Currently, there is NO way to automate the return of visible field names/ids from views. View names must be hardcoded at script level, which is an utter pain. OR, the script author may simply start to return all fields within a table, which is a wasteful practice. Who is the target audience? Anyone who writes Scripts with the Scripting Extension or the Automation Script action.

I would like to be able to add a field that includes attributes of the collaborators entered within a "user" or "created by" or "last modified by" type of field. For example if George is entered as a collaborator in a field in table X of base Y and George belongs to a user admin group called "Sales" I would like to look up the user group George belongs to and automatically show it in another field of the same entry in table X of base Y.
