What is the proposed idea/solution? The ability to filter linked record selection by other values selected in the form. For instance, if I have an Estimate form that is linked to "Clients" and "Projects," I would like to limit Projects to those owned by the Client. How does it solve the user problems? It decreases the risk of data entry errors, and saves time searching through unrelated records. This is especially true in cases where tables are set up using unique ID's that don't contain searchable data from other fields. How was this validated? Building Interfaces / Forms to run my business. Who is the target audience? Anyone using Interfaces & Forms

List views within interfaces, and List page layouts do not support/show the sum of values of a given field (e.g. number, currency, etc). However, this is actually supported for grid views. -see comparison in image below. Even if something similar can be achieved using different workarounds as mentioned by @ScottWorld and @ATSolutionist in this other post submitted by @Scott_Brasted, a native out of the box solution seems completely needed. In the options for different interface types, the only way to get a table is through starting with a blank interface and adding a table element in. This often causes scrolling issues between the whole page and within the table, and overall is is a very clunky way to get a table interface. Can a new interface be made that is just a table, similar to the list interface, but with the functionality of a table. It would be the same as the table view under the data tab, but having it as an interface gives a lot more control over access to it and sharing between other people. If this could be added it would also solve Allow what users can see/access individual Views in the same table as @TheTimeSavingCo commented on this.

I think response time for automation is very important to improve. It would be also great to get an automatic response message as a Toast Component in Airtable Interface UI. (external server (external fetch request) can be busy, Interface User have to know the Status of the action). It would also important to have not to repeat same code as you see from Screenshot. (Solution: to make Api request new section)

What is the proposed idea/solution? ...Introduce an option in Airtable's Interface Designer to hide or collapse elements within a page until a filter or record picker linked to it has a selection made. How does is solve the user problems? ...When navigating pages with numerous elements or multiple filter boxes (often due to information being pulled from various tables), hiding elements until a filter option is chosen minimizes visual clutter and unnecessary scrolling. This enhancement simplifies the interface at first glance, creating a cleaner, more focused user experience. It also reduces the number of pages required within an interface, consolidating workflows and reducing the number of clicks needed to access information. Overall, this saves users time and improves efficiency by streamlining their interaction with the interface. How was this validated? ... This idea is supported by user feedback highlighting frustration with current interface designs, specifically: Difficulty understanding what a page offers or the purpose of its elements without a visible breakdown. The need to scroll through an entire page to locate a specific element, which can be time-consuming. Challenges faced by new Airtable users or those unfamiliar with a particular page, as they struggle to quickly grasp its structure or find relevant information. These insights demonstrate the value of a cleaner, more dynamic interface that adapts to user actions, reducing confusion and improving efficiency. Who is the target audience? ...The target audience includes any users of Airtable, such as (but not limited to) project managers, data analysts, and interface designers who rely on complex, multi-table data interfaces to drive productivity. Additionally, casual users who benefit from simplified, intuitive workflows will also find value in this enhancement.

I would be great if we could add buttons or links at the top of an interface sidesheets/full sheet record detail view to 'jump' to groups within the sheet. For record details sheets that are pretty long, this would be useful.

I've had a few cases where I was using views in the style of a "help desk" and really wanted to see the number of records that needed to be actioned on. It would be nice to have an optional badge count shown for records in a view or in the interface pages, especially for help desk and similar apps where the views and pages are filtered based on the actions needed to be taken.

I'm a PM at a Product company and we've been using the Gantt view to build all of our schedules! One function that would be extremely helpful is the ability to add or remove the vertical lines that run through milestones, depending on how we want it visualized. Example: We have a Mile High view that displays only milestones for multiple projects across the company. With so much overlap, the vertical lines become extremely condensed and messy quickly. Our goal is to have one, visually clean view that we can return to on a monthly basis and review with a cross-functional team to track milestones across the company. Would love any suggestions here!

What is the proposed idea/solution? ...new element to inject code block into an interface. How does is solve the user problems? ...I could embed Airtable forms, embed Gmail, embed a VoIP phone into our APP so we don’t need to leave Airtable to execute those functions. How was this validated? ... Who is the target audience? ...basically everyone. This would make Airtable truly a complete app builder.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Allowing forms to create NEW linked records, rather than only allowing to select from a list of already existing linked records. In other words, the ability for a form to have its Parent form submission, and one or multiple Child form submissions (for the linked records). See Fillout's solution as an example. Dummy scenario: If I want to submit information for a Family (Family table) and for the members of the Family (Members table) which can be one or multiple, I would not be able to do this from only one Airtable Form. I would need to submit one form for the Family information, and separate forms for each Member. How does is solve the user problems? Would avoid having to integrate different softwares, build dirty automations, or handling re-directs, just for the sake of creating linked records. How was this validated? This issue comes up with plenty of my clients, multiple questions have been asked on the Community on how to handle this, and it has been a topic of discussion with fellow builders and consultants. However, I'm not sure whether it has been actually submitted as a "New Idea"/Feature Request (if it was already, I'm super sorry -however it might be useful to bring it up again!). Basically, Airtable forms do not allow to create NEW linked records from the form itself (i.e. we can currently only select from a dropdown of already existing linked records). There are obviously several different workarounds such as: (i) using other form softwares (e.g. Fillout which I really love, but is still a pain to need additional integration just for this); (ii) handling the creation of new linked fields from interfaces rather than forms (i.e. would mean treating the interface itself as a pseudo form); (iii) having temporary fields on the main table which are only used to push data via an automation for the creation of the linked field (super dirty solution which I would almost never recommend); and (iv) others. However, all of those solutions are far from ideal. Who is the target audience? Airtable users who need to capture information via forms for a base with multiple linked tables (I'd say almost every Airtable user). Thanks!!
