It would be great if I could dynamically use a colour from a field in my base for the static elements in Page Designer. Similar to how the static text element can use {Field Names} to intersperse content from a base with static text, it would be really helpful if for background fills and border colors. I think there are lots of ways to better support color, for example Airtable covers all of the field types that Webflow supports (and more, i know) with the exception of color, which I use a lot, and would be very helpful to have here too.

It would be so great if each workspace had a friendly user interface dashboard. So instead of clicking into a base and then to the dashboard my colleagues could open the workspace and be able to navigate all the basses easily, see reports through apps, etc. I’ve been using google sites as an alternative to this but would be really awesome to have built into Airtable itself.

It would be helping a lot to have a feature working the same way as the Page Designer but it would create an input page. Actually I know a lot of people who would buy Airtable system only to be able to use this kind of feature. The form view is not optimal and ofter have too much space between Item. A page designer block where I can place where (Single line, dropdown, attachement input, URL, etc…) field are and then simply click the checkbox. Potential : In an inventory management system this would be wonderful, If I have a table call “Puchases” and another called “Individual Items” I would design an “Input Page” called Purchasing Order where I places the unique informations of the only supplier (Purchase Table) on the top of the page, then select the purchasing date as an Date for ALL “Unique Items” created and then I would creade 10 field to be able to enter 10 Record at the same time. If all info of record #10 input field are empty, no record for this one will be created, if there is at least 1 data field info, it will create it. Bonus : Be able to set a different default value for some field depending on wich “Input Page Designer” Block I am Be able to use it to navigate and see record informations the same way as page designer (I see that as an improvement of Page Designer)

In addition to Grid, Gallery, Kanban, etc. I’d like to be able to do a custom layout for a view-- resizing record fields to optimize their visual display. (Does anyone remember Bento? It was, functionally, similar to AirTable and it would allow you to customize the layout of data views with drag & drop fields that you could resize and place into single, double, or triple columns). It would work sort of like the AirTable block Page View but it would be a view I could share with collaborators and it would be responsive to different size screens.

Hello Community, I’ve had a bit of an idea. At our company, we have tables that can have up to 30-40 columns in them, especially on the “summary” or “master” tables, where data is assembled from other tables. This can get very confusing. What If we could group similar columns together in a similar way we group rows? Color-coded, collapsible, and individually shareable. It could be quite powerful. Thoughts?

Displaying the field name is useless for so many Gallery views created (and some Kanban views). For example, I don’t need to know that xyz@abc is their “email” or 123.456.7890 is there “phone”. The field names take up far too much space when viewing.

So, it would be totally awesome if I could link/connect the record in the grid with the actual Block page builder. We have 150+ individual records in this table, and a full page in the Block for each record (with 50+ data points per record). Interacting with the data in the table is not connected to the Block visually…only the data fields. Does this make sense? Please tell me there is already a solution

There have been many threads in here over the months to make Airtable more Forms Based (rightly so in my view) - but it occurs to me that a relatively simple start to this would be to build a List / Details type view with a brief (one or two fields) list of records on the left and then details displayed on a form on the right. The user should be able to specify fields to use in both areas. This type of layout was used to very good effect by Microsoft as one of the default layout in their Access Web Apps product (now pretty much defunct) - looking like this: Note - this is a screenshot of an app I built and used to sell on the MS App Store before Access Web Apps was announced as retiring - all the data is demo information and not ‘real’. AWA will be retired this month. How about it Airtable?

Hi! Yes I said it - I need some unstructured in Airtable! I would like a “free form” view like a Canvas view with the option to add relations between record. I like Airtable because is so organized and structured but sometimes it’s not nice (and creative) to be unstructured :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: I would use it for a more open brainstorm or mindmap session that it could then organize more in grid view or the like. The process would be just to add and group records before you had defined all the field data. Sometimes you just want to get started with something I like the way calendar works where you have a menu with the records on the side that you can drag in and out. So instead of the calendar, it would just be an infinite canvas.

I would find it very useful if there was an embed block that would be kind of similar to the page designer except that instead of printing it would be for embedding it into a website. The use case would be showing records from Airtable in a more customized way that would feel and look more just like a part of the webpage. Say I wanted to show a table with all our employees. Right now it would be via an embed view (which is great) but if I could design it to look and feel just like our website it would be very useful
