I’m using bases to create several budgets to manage lead source, subdivided into categories. When I group my lead sources by category, I want to be able to run the same calculations I do on each individual entry.
I have basic formulas in several columns.
ROI - Sales/Spend
Cost Per Lead - Spend/Leads
Conv % Jobs/Leads
I’d like the summary bar for each group to run those calculations too. Thus, if I have 50 lead sources in the radio grouping, my summary bar would take the sum of all the sales for the 50 entries and divide it by the sum of the spend for the same.

I love Airtable! I have a feature request. I created a form for my family to add gift/wish items for Christmas and Birthdays. I created a view for each member so they can’t see their gifts requested so they will not know if someone purchased a gift for them, you know keep it a surprise. My request is to allow people who receive private links of table views a location in the iOS app so they can quickly find their shared links. This particular gift base has three private link views for each person in my family.
A view of all the gifts requested - minus their gift requests.
A form view to make gift requests.
A form view to record a gift purchase (still working on this one - I need to figure out how to filter only the gifts not purchased)
It would be nice if this view of links was set up like the bases. So as a user I would see the name of the Base and then under it the views I have access too.
Thanks for your consideration!
Lisa

In the web view, instead of opening a new record in the mini add format, please allow a user to have the option to open every new record in full record view - I never find the mini add useful, and would like the option to create records in the full record view format.

I want to be able to archive and not display certain views for old clients, but I don’t want to delete those views.
So adding a Filter on Views dropdown will allow me to select a common field like ‘Status’ with condition does not contain ‘Archive’ to accomplish hiding saved Views that are no longer relevant but worth keeping for future reference.

Currently you can execute a scripting app from the desktop version. Much of our data entry is done through the mobile app and many of them are complex and take many taps and entry into many fields. This can be steamlined quite a bit with scripting apps.

It would be good to be able to use the CSV Import block while fields are set to not let anyone edit the values. We should have another option to “Allow this field to be modified by CSV Import”.
Additionally it would be helpful to do the exact same with the Script block. Where we have “Nobody” being able to edit the values of the field but where there is an option to “Allow this field to be modified by Scripting Block”.

Looks like a gradual rollout, but there is a way to navigate between views. The keyboard shortcut is the same (Cltrl-SHift-K) but a new sidebar appears and doesn’t go away after the view has been switched. Moreover, the keyboard focus doesn’t shift to this box - so if you type a view name, you will end up typing in one of your records by mistake.
This is BAD UX. There was nothing broken to fix. Product manager - this is NOT useful. Revert back to the old one, or give me a choice to stay with the old way.

I have not really used the app that much for this reason. The scroll bar in Android in my nicely-big-display-size phone is really thin and I don’t even know if it can be used to manually scroll. So the only benefit I see for it is to see how far down you’re viewing records. I have 3000+ records in some tables, which makes scrolling a pain.
Can you make a working/wider (whichever applies) scrollbar? Or another way to scroll?

Frankly, this should have been implemented by now. I shouldn’t have to manually keep track of stats run per automation. Why is this important? Well, once you hit your 50K runs/month limit, the first sane thing you’ll want to do is: Figure out which Automation was responsible for contributing THE MOST to this months quota. Does Airtable provide any built-in way to manage this? No. So you’re left spending more dev cycles implementing some hokey third-party webhook system to capture EVERY Automation Run evaluation and writing the date of each evaluation out to something like a Google Sheet (because Google Sheets don’t have a 50K record limit). Then, once your stats are in Google Sheet, you need to spend time building graphs split by Automation Name to see how many executions ran per minute/per day/per week to figure out likely culprits. Again, more time wasted. Next, once you find the culprit Automations, you might want to search the Automation Run logs to around the time WHEN THE SPIKE HAPPENED. Does Airtable allow you to do this? Sure – you can pull up the run logs… AND THEN YOU HAVE TO MASSIVELY SCROLL through historical logs – there’s no way to say “take me to the run logs back on 2022-04-15 @ 12:25 UTC” exactly – no, you’re left manually scrolling and clicking the “more” button for ever… and ever… and ever… and… well, you get the point. Oh, and while we’re on this topic, when Airtable generates an email saying that an Automation Run encountered an error – unless you click that email within about 1-2 minutes of receiving it – let’s say you open up the email like 1-2 days later, IT DOES NOT AUTO-SCROLL you to the location in the logs where the error took place … No! Instead, you’re left to have to manually scroll again through the logs to figure out where it was located. TL;DR: Automation Run logs suck; there’s no way to scroll or search them by time, keyword (sorely needed) We need Automation Run stats, in the form of graphs showing executions by day – split by Automation Name. This helps users not exceed Automation Run quotas.
