Have you ever thought of the possibility to charge an amount per block as an alternative for those who use Airtable mainly for personal matters and would not pay for a yearly subscription? Thanks in advance,

I’d like to be able to edit images in order to re-crop and rotate them.
There is a airtable help article saying this is not supported and asking users to re-upload images. This is a pretty annoying workaround.
Whilst the web app at least allows cropping and rotation of images during initial upload, the iOS apps do not. And you never know the orientation of an image coming from an iphone - there is even an unresolved issue I found in this forum about this.
So users who want quality photographs in their databases, who therefore use iphones to take photos - cannot crop, cannot rotate, cannot edit later and are never 100% sure of the orientation of their images.

I have a resource list that includes a lot of urls. Instead of showing the long awkward urls, is there a way to still have the url for each record but perhaps a single word like Go that displays?

Continuing the discussion from Base level revision history: I know I can see the history of each record on the right side of the expanded view, but I’d like to be able to view the entire history of the base. I would also like to view the entire history for a particular user. Are either of these things currently possible? I’m hoping I’m just missing them… Splitting this discussion off from the discussion of revision history for entire bases, as it’s a slightly different feature request!

What is the proposed idea/solution? Linked Records, Lookups and Rollups are currently sorted in the order in which the linked records have been linked. However, this is many times not enough, as we need a different way in which to show the data! The proposed solution is to have a sorting feature within the lookup (or even linked record, or rollup) to show the data differently -e.g. alphabetically. How does is solve the user problems? Will allow users to show their data in a way that makes more sense to the end user. How was this validated? Multiple Community Posts requesting for help/guidance on how to sort such values (which they actually cannot)! Who is the target audience? Users with specific needs on how data is displayed. It would be very helpful to have a configuration that sets the default mode of adding a NEW record within a Grid View to be the Expanded Record view. Viewing data within a Grid View is awesome, but adding a new record inline within a grid view is not helpful. When entering many new fields, it's a better user experience to enter within an Expanded Record view. As it stands today, one must click the "Add Record" button and then click the "Expand Record" arrow to get to this view. This is not a good user experience. Allow the view to have a configuration that sets the mode in which new records are presented - either inline grid or expanded.

I am trying to create a company budget database where all the accounts are in the main table (grid view), but some of them are subaccounts of other accounts (and others are sub-sub-accounts, etc.). All the parent/child relationships are between records in the same table. How do I display the data where the sub accounts are indented under their parent records and can roll up at each step of the hierarchy, if desired (including a calculated sum field) For example, 100 Personnel Costs ($250K) <-- This is a calculated roll-up from subaccounts 110 Salary & Wages ($200K) 120 Healthcare ($50K) 200 Facilities ($65K) <-- Calculated 210 Rent ($30K) 220 Maintenance ($20K) 230 Exterior ($15K) <-- Calculated 231 Grounds ($10K) 232 Signage ($5K) etc.... It would be nice to roll up the budgeted amounts for each subaccount into a field in its parent account. I tried the List view type, but that requires a relationship between records in two different tables.

Hello, I am sure this is a heavily requested topic, so if this is on the roadmap great, if not I really think this process would help a lot of users. I use Airtable for a number of use cases and have multiple builds. One feature that is rather consistently peeking its head is parent child linking. The first time this arose, and my primary use case, is in a contract management system my team and I built in Airtable. The question arose whether or not Airtable can achieve parent/child linking. The general consensus was a resounding "NO." I took this on as a challenge and after many hours of trouble shooting and testing, I believe I created a working two way linking between two or more records in our contracting system that links the parent to the children and child to the parent. This bidirectional syncs allows for various contract managers to work and link the records as they come in. Further, using the OrgChart extension, we can now see the entire contract family in a visual manner. Now for the downside. This requires 5 separate automations with multiple actions and triggers which causes the linkage to be rather slow. I believe that if this was converted to a native backend process it would be speed up that linkage time and free up automation space in our base. Again if this is already on the roadmap great. However, if it is not and you would to explore the concept and would like to see how this works I am happy to provide a screen recording and screenshots. Regards, Eljay Higley

I love that record details pages now allow for conditional field/section visibility, however one big thing that seems to be missing is the ability to hide/show and enable/disable buttons based on other field values. This would really help us create more user friendly interfaces. Thanks!

What is the proposed idea/solution? There is currently no way to add an action after a repeat group in an automation, if i'm correct. This would however be very helpful. How does is solve the user problems? Currently i need to put in place workarounds to launch a step 2 automation after the step 1 has been completed, using delayed automations based on now() function etc. How was this validated? ... Who is the target audience? does anyone know if this was already submitted ? and how to check the community interest in it ? Thanks
