What is the proposed idea/solution? At the moment, you cannot readily access the Page Designer through Interface when trying to implement a button. How does is solve the user problems? I would like staff to be able to generate letters in AirTable, but they work out of the Interface, exclusively. How was this validated? ... Who is the target audience? ...

What is the proposed idea/solution? As it's possible to pre-fill a View Form field - it would be useful if field permissions could be set to prevent the user from editing specified (pre-filled) fields - the idea being that the field is read-only and is simply relaying information to the user who's filling out the form. Currently, if the field permissions within the table are set to "Nobody" can edit - a user viewing and filling out a form can still edit that field. How does this solve the user problems? It allows pre-filled forms to be sent and filled out by users, but only desirable fields are editable, whilst others fields are restricted from editing and will display pre-filled data that can't be edited - but can be viewed during the form process. Who is the target audience? Anyone who is using an Airtable automation to send a Form Link, with pre-filled URL switches, where some fields should really be non-editable and view only.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Allow users to add a new record on another table through a linked field, when inside a form. How does is solve the user problems? Currently, in a form a user can select a record from a linked field, but they cannot create a new record through that linked field. This would be very helpful for instances when a new record needs to be added and you want to give that ability to the user. How was this validated? Not sure what "How was this validated" means... I found the issue because I wanted to create a new record from inside of a form, but I didn't have the ability to. Who is the target audience? Form submitters

What is the proposed idea/solution? Allow Fields in Kanban Cards (either for Views or Interfaces) to be multi-line. See how a Trello Card looks like: See how packed the tags are and how much information is contained in 3 lines. Now see the same in Airtable for a Kanban Interface: See how the Tags Field is cut-off, not letting the user to see all the corresponding Tags. This issue applies to other potentially long fields such as Text or Formulas containing a concatenated text string. How does is solve the user problems? Currently, the only field type that supports multi-line is the Long Text. However, since the cards are small, any field with more than 4 words get cut off, and a user needs to get into the card details to understand what the card is about. How was this validated? ... Who is the target audience? Trello users trying to switch to Airtable

What is the proposed idea/solution? Tables, fields, and views can have descriptions. I'd like sections to have descriptions, too. How does is solve the user problems? I group several similar views into section. These similar views have similar descriptions. Moving the duplicate parts of the descriptions into a section-level description would clean things up. How was this validated? Example: Instead of these redundant view descriptions: Move the duplicate info into a section description: Who is the target audience? Users of view sections

What is the proposed idea/solution? When creating a form view, it would be great to set a question's available linked records to be filtered based on a previous questions answer. For example, Q1 is to select a contractor or team from our list of contractors (linked record from a resources base). Then Q2 is to select a project to submit the form against, but ONLY show linked project records that are assigned to the contractor team in Q1 so that the team selected can only see and select their projects, not other teams projects as to only serve a limited list and ensure our teams don't make a mistake in project selection. How does is solve the user problems? Opens up additional use cases for form flexibility. Solves our problem of not being able to have a curated and limited selection list of projects for each team. How was this validated? We send a form weekly to our contractor teams that do work for our agency to submit their hours worked per project so we can calculate project costs, margin...etc. At the moment, the teams can select their name / team from the list to submit hours for, but when they choose a project to submit against, they see all the projects that are active instead of just theirs. This leads to mistakes in teams selecting the wrong project and submitting hours to the wrong records. I could create unique forms for each team separately, but that is tedious and not scalable in managing all of our resources to add / remove new forms for each new team. I'd like one form that can serve up a curated list of linked records dynamically based on the answer to a previous question instead of a hard coded logic filter. Who is the target audience? ...

What is the proposed idea/solution? Add ability to @ mention users in the MS Teams Integration How does is solve the user problems? Currently a notification is pushed ot a Teams channel when a user submits a new form creating a record. I'd like to be able to include an @ mention to our PM or specific users so it does not get lost in the channel How was this validated? Created automation and confirmed in documentation @ mentions and DMs are not currently supported by Airtable Who is the target audience? Base owners, PMs, task owners

Current problem: When submitting a new record, the Microsoft Teams automation generates a message to a specified channel, but there is no ability to include "@ general" to notify the team assigned to the channel. Proposed solution: I would like the ability to include an @ mention in the automated Microsoft Teams channel message when a record is submitted. I would also like the ability to generate a direct message to a user rather than a post to a channel.

Proposed idea We originally used the Form view to create forms that would _prefill fields and auto-redirect to the record that was created. This feature is currently not possible with the Form interface type. This would greatly improve user experience with the additional Form interface option. Solution Introduce the prefill (default value) to the interface Form and include the option (slider) to allow the form to either redirect or stay put until user closes.

Proposed idea/solution Right now the interface button setting "Go to interface page" is restricted to pages within the same interface group of pages. Propose to extend the setting to other pages within any interface on the same base. Solution Currently one has to use either the "Go to external URL" or "Go to URL in record" to make possible the linking of pages on different interfaces on the same base. This works, however, if you duplicate the base (from a template base) you have to reset all the links. Target audience Anyone who uses a base as a template to clone/duplicate into another base.
