What is the proposed idea/solution?
It would be great to have the option to render a map as a component of Interfaces, similar to the Map extension on the case.

How does it solve the user's problems?
It's a really graphic way to visualize location-based data

Yes, I agree with you that it would be great if Airtable brought the map extension โ€” and the rest of the extensions โ€” to interfaces!

In the meantime, until Airtable provides this to us:

If you need to automatically create a static map based on an address in an Airtable record, you can get that in Airtableโ€™s interfaces by using Makeโ€™s Google Maps integrations.

You would just have Airtable trigger your Make automation, which would then automatically generate the map image and put it into an Airtable attachment field for you.

You can even get mapping directions from one location to another, mapping directions, and more.

If youโ€™ve never used Make before, Iโ€™ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread. For example, here is one of the ways that you could instantly trigger a Make automation from Airtable.

Hope this helps! If youโ€™d like to hire the best Airtable consultant to help you with anything Airtable-related, please feel free to contact me through my website: Airtable consultant โ€” ScottWorld
