Hey Airtable community! I'm new to Airtable and still learning all the ins and outs.

I'd like to create a grid view (for my leadership) that pulls from multiple grids across different bases. Is this possible? If not, is there another way to think about solving for this use case?

Appreciate the help!

Sarah

Hey @sgoldenstein

Unfortunately that is currently not possible, as you cannot sync different tables into one single table on a different base -would be super nice though. If you attempt to sync tables to a different base, you'd get the same amount of tables on a different base. I hope this doesn't sound confusing.

I would probably suggest consolidating all of such bases and tables, depending on your needs. If this is an issue for any reason, you can build a workaround that would sync the tables and bases via automation built in Make or N8N rather than Airtable's sync. -might be tricky, but for sure achievable.

I'll be submitting this as a feature request to Airtable!

In the meantime, I'd be happy to hop on a brief call and show you around best practices and insights. If interested, feel free to schedule using this link!

Hey @sgoldenstein thanks for your post!

As Mike mentioned above, this community is a great place to ask your questions about best practices and get tips and tricks from other members. I'd recommend posting in the applicable "Ask a question" page, and I'd also recommend joining a user group, and/or our Enterprise Network that's exclusive to enterprise customers. User Groups have monthly events where you can connect with other Airtable users, hear their use cases, and have best practices discussions right in the forums.

Thanks for being a member of the community, we're excited you're here!

You can create synced tables that sync from multiple sources.

Here's the support article on Multi-Source syncing.

Thanks and this all makes sense!

Appreciate you offering time to connect. I will set up time soon.

A few other quick questions:

  • is there a public Slack channel where Airtable users can ask questions and share best practices?
  • Can I create base templates that I can easily duplicate?

Thank you!!

Hey @sgoldenstein,

Happy to help out, and looking forward to our call. You might want to check out BuiltOnAir's slack channel, it is not an official Airtable Channel but that is where some of the discussions occur.

You might also want to check out this other Airtable Forum.

For last, you can always keep posting here! Airtable will double down on its official Community for 2025 🙂

Hey Sarah,

I thought I'd posted this yesterday but I'm not seeing it here today:

Here's the support article on multi-source syncing.

@Mike_AutomaticN Isn't this what is being referred to?

Absolutely @Kenneth_Raghuna, I had completely missed it, and actually @sgoldenstein showed it to me!! Sounds great, I’ll be trying it out 🙌🙌
