Start from Scratch not appearing

hi there

I am relatively new to Airtable. So far I used one base, basically like a spreadsheet. 

So I started a class. However my starting screen looks nothing like this. 

I cannot add a base, only create one. Then Airtable jumps straight into the base. 

It never shows the different steps as suggested by the Start from Scratch wizard. 

Could someone please advise

Airtable has gone through different "getting started" experiences over the years. Users have no control over what experience they get. The author of the course used the experience at the time of writing, and it probably changed since then.

Adding a base and creating a new one from scratch are basically the same thing.

Are you able to pick up the course from the point of starting with a new blank base? The basics on creating fields, field types, setting up views, etc. should be the same.

If you need more exact hand-holding, you might want to try a different course.

That's probably not really the issue. 
I had reached a certain limit on a free account. So likely the widget is not showing.
