Quick question for those working with managed apps in Airtable.
Has anyone managed to use AI fields directly in a managed app (the source app that pushes structure to child apps)?
On our side, AI can be enabled at the workspace level, and it works fine in the child apps. But we’re not able to use AI fields in the managed app itself, which is where we define our core data model.
Our goal would be to include AI fields directly in the template, so they are consistently deployed across all apps.
Is this a known limitation, or are we missing something?
Would love to hear how others are handling this, especially in setups with multiple apps and a shared model.
