Linked fields not updating in both tables

Hi there, sorry probably a very basic question but I have a linked field and trying to figure out if data from a linked field should be replicated from one table to another. Please see attached. In the table ‘Writer Job Submissions’ I linked an ‘article’ to a ‘writer’, however in the table ‘Articles’ The writer does not appear. Should it? and if not is there a way I can get it to?

I cant seem to provide a screenshot here of what I’m talking about but can share it with you if you let me know how

As about you question, yes, it should appear. Probably the field is hidden. It is always the very last field on the right. Check the hidden fields.
