Changing permissions of a column, triggers Zapier

Hey, I just discovered a costly bug, or at least a terrible design.

I am using Zapier to trigger emails when a New or Updated field in airtable happens.

Apparently when you change the permission of a column, it triggers a change (in my case emailed 100 people).

The bug part is that the email was sent because the field "Last updated time" must have changed, however, the actual last modified time DID NOT change.

If you understand me, then you're as confused as I am.
