I created a form for our rental car contract in Fillout. Everything is populating correctly into airtable except the time. My issue is that I put the "date - time out" in the form eg 12/19 8:00pm. It will populate to airtable as 12/20 3:00am if I have the airtable time set to UTC. if I change the time in airtable to Denver (which is correct) it populates properly from fillout to airtable. HOWEVER, when I open the PDF everything in changed back to being a day in the future at 3:00am. I think it will work properly if I create seperate fields for date and time, which I can do, but it seems like it should be able to work by doing it the way I am. I'm sure this is a timezone code I cant for the life of me figure out. Please help, Thanks!

The issue arises from mismatched time zones. Airtable defaults to UTC, but your local time (Denver) and Fillout form data are not aligning.

Solution Steps:

  1. Check Time Zone Settings in Airtable:

    • Go to the affected Date/Time field in Airtable.
    • Disable the "Use the same time zone for all collaborators" option if it’s enabled.
    • Set the time zone to Denver.
  2. Adjust Fillout Form:

    • Ensure the Date/Time field in Fillout captures local time (Denver).
    • Confirm Fillout sends data in your intended time zone.

3. PDF Integration:

  • Verify the PDF tool references the adjusted time field or explicitly sets to Denver time.
  • Use a custom formatting option in the PDF tool for consistency.

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, consider creating separate fields for date and time to avoid conflicts. For further help, feel free to reach out . I’ll assist you in setting this up seamlessly!

Use a Formula Field in Airtable:

  • Add a formula field to convert UTC to Denver time:
    DATETIME_FORMAT(SET_TIMEZONE({Your Date Field}, 'America/Denver'), 'MM/DD/YYYY h:mm A')

We are having a problem with this fake robot user @Mansir2094 above, who just takes people’s questions, runs them through ChatGPT, and then pastes ChatGPT’s answers here.

The answers, of course, are unhelpful, misleading, and show zero understanding of Airtable.

This is happening more & more often in the forums, but this is the latest robot account to be doing this.

Can you please remove and ban this account, and please help us keep this community robot-free moving forward?

Thank you!
