ROUNDUP(number, 2) Incorrect rounding

I am using a SUM formula that isn’t adding correctly. I am using fields that I confiugered to be integers (even though on the back end they may not be whole numbers). Would that effect how the numbers get added? Is Airtable adding the real number which may cause the system to round? If so is there a way to tell airtable that I want to add the integers together, not the number that it may be rounding? Thanks
