When you add a new field, it is only added to the current view and other views that display all fields.
So, if a view has any hidden fields, you must manually un-hide any new fields. This is to avoid accidentally adding new fields to views that are supposed to show only some information, especially since views may be shared publicly.
If you make many new fields, you can copy the configuration of an existing view to another view.
