Find the Difference Between two Columns

I have two columns in dollar amounts, one is called “Total” and the other is called “Amount Paid.”

Basically, I need help with basic a subtraction formula to find what is the difference and that difference will go into a third column called “Available Balance.”

How do I accomplish this?

Use the following formula for Available Balance
Total - {Amount Paid}

format the Field Available Balance properly.
