How do I hide the 'Contact' record from the users of a form

I am trying to change the input method for ‘Contacts’. If I switch it to any other method of input, it will not ‘link’ directly to the ‘Contacts’ tab. However, the users of the form could not create a new record for that particular input (see attached)

Is there a way to let the users of the from create a new record for the ‘Contacts’ column?
