+1 for this important feature that would be relatively simple to implement. I have “active” and “inactive” students that change on a monthly basis and when I take attendance, I have to unnecessarily scroll through loads of “inactive” records.

I need this. The form user needs to view reference data in order to complete the form.

Thank you for idea Victoria but unfortunately there is no way to use this method for the current date, such as NOW() or TODAY(). I hope this feature will be added.
