We need to sporadically export PDFs from our Airtable in order to make these PDFs downloadable by users of our own app.

We are using the Page Designer block to create the layouts, but we want an automated solution to export these layouts as PDFs, because the only other way is to “print” the Page Designer block using browser print and then “save as” a PDF. This is time consuming.

Currently it looks like the best solution for us is to use the MiniExtension “PDF and Document Generator for Airtable” coupled with Docupilot to be able trigger batch PDF exports: https://miniextensions.com/airtable-generate-pdf/ Please note, this method does not need the Page Designer Block Also, this method will cost hundreds of dollars because we will have thousands of PDFs.

Do you agree? Is this the best way? Is there an easier way, perhaps with the Airtable API? Ideally we would like to just run a script that creates the PDFs using the API and then allows us to save the PDFs where we choose. Also we need to make sure each PDF is tagged somehow so we can associate it with the original row in Airtable from which it was made.

You can do this with Integromat for a very minimal cost, but you can’t use the page designer block. Check out this template:

Have you tried the Formstack block?

ScottWorld Thanks! Does this only get triggered each time a row is added, or could it be triggered to do an entire table?

Kamille_Parks Thanks, pricing wise, since we will have at least 1000 to make, then am I correct we would have to spend >$500 on the Formstack account? https://www.formstack.com/documents/pricing

You could trigger it however you want! Integromat is the best.
