I wish to use a series of icons to represent the status of a record in a base. How best to do this? If I add a small image in an attachments field it works, but the image becomes a clickable link and opens the image file - not what I want. The icon must be a static element. If I use a "Single Select" field I cannot import my icons.

I would appreciate any guidance.

Have you tried emojis? Win+"." combination. 🤷‍♀️🎯👍

If you don't want to use the attachment field, then unfortunately in 2024 the only Airtable-supported option for you is basically using a text-based emoji. You can do it either via your own operating system's emoji library, or use the extension that I built for this use case!

Hope this helps anyone that has found this thread and asking the same question!
