Hi Everyone!

I am trying to figure out how to autopopulate a linked table.

I currenly have table 1 linked to table 2, but every time I add a new record into table 1 I have to go to table 2, create a new record, and link the record from table 1.

There must be a way to organise this so that anything created in table 1 automatically populates linked tables, but I can’t figure out how to do this! Any guidance would be great.

Hi @Anna_Williamson,

Given that I dont have any context on what Table 2 contains, the way you are doing it is the best way.

You can choose to Add a new record in Table 1, so you wont have to open table 2.

HI Mohammad,
Thanks so much for you response.

I’ll provide a little more context.

The base is for content creation, and table 2 functions as a to do list for our writers.
Table 1 is a general list of all content, with a Kanban, and Calendar view.

Table 2 is linked to table 1, but with a status filter so that only records with “Ready for Writer” appear. Because of this workflow, adding records directly into table 2 would bump them down the Kanban in table 1 before they are read.
