How to count the number of tags?

Hi!

New to Airtables. I have a table with each row containing a variable number of tags (see image).

I’d like to count the overall number of tags, so I can see
Dog: 2
Cat: 2

Is there a way to do this?

Welcome to the Airtable community!

I recommend converting the multi-select field to a linked record field that links to a new table. Then that new table, add a count field.
