Open a record in another table based on single select field

Hi, all!
Is there any way to open a specific record in a table by clicking on the value in a single select field? Or is there a way to create a button with the functionality “if {single select field} says “value” open {specific record in another table}?”

Since the direct URL for any record is predictable, you could I guess create a Button field that will open a specific record when you click it? The formula might be:

SWITCH(
{Single Select Field},
"Option 1", "https://airtable.com/baseID/tableID/viewID/recordID1",
"Option 2", "https://airtable.com/baseID/tableID/viewID/recordID2",
"Option 3", "https://airtable.com/baseID/tableID/viewID/recordID3"
)

Open up each of your intended records to get the base and other IDs from the address bar.

Clicking on the single select field itself will just highlight the cell, you can’t turn those into clickable links.
