I, we just past in the pro version, on our workspace, with 4 billable creator. We are able to change the color in the calendar but not to set the range date. Is there something I missed, is that a common issue?

To answer your question, you need to have two date fields in yoru base in order for the date range to be viewed in your calendar. Have a look here and see how it works.
